We travel to Winfield to see an old friend...and I learn that someone I’ve known for decades is dangerously ill.

We finish in San Antonio. Judy’s fine. We’re fine. And the Big Pig is fine. Plus new adventures are coming.

We see Ismo and he’s very, very funny. Then...whew!...we finally hear from Judy after her fall.

We go to lunch at Schilo's and enjoy ourselves enormously. But then we get disturbing news from Kansas.

We enjoy a romantic walk in the rain along the River Walk. Would make a great scene in a movie.

We fight our way through the traffic construction from hell, and then deal with the world’s snottiest desk clerk. But the hotel was terrific

We explore the Blue Star District, and have a Halcyon meal.

We’re off to San Antonino, and some standup from our favorite Finnish Comedian, ISMO!

We explore Alpine a bit more, and I think deeply about mercury and madness.

We visit #Alpine, Texas, a cool little city on the edge of the Beyond.

We get a tasteless meal and lousy service. Gourmet dining at its best.

And we’re off to the magnificent El Paisano Hotel. And then we have, alas, a downright un-magnificent dinner.

At the last minute, the Gingerbread House is saved! And then...it vanishes. (Sigh).

More on Marfa, and we begin the sinister construction of the recalcitrant Gingerbread House.

We enjoy some Bitter Sugar coffee and then, in a town full of expensive restaurants, have lunch at Burger King. And like it.
