About

Hello! Hello! I’m Michael Jay Tucker, and I’m delighted to meet you!

I am a writer, editor, and sometime videographer currently living in the great state of Texas. For many years, I was a trade press journalist, with my particular field being computers. Among my small claims to fame is that I interviewed Steve Jobs just after that remarkable man had been forced out of Apple Computer, and just before Apple’s Board Of Directors came begging him to come back.

In addition to computers, I have written about all sorts of things -- history, science, politics, art, literature, and, well, now and then, I turn a hand to fiction and poetry. One of my more recent books is Padre, a meditation on life and death based on the passing of two of the most remarkable people I’ve ever met, specifically, my parents. You can see the book, along with several others, on this website.

In recent years, I’ve discovered an interest in graphics, video, and limited-motion animation. I’ve even won a few laurels at some film and new media festivals, and, to my considerable amazement, I have begun doing promotional videos (particularly for artists and gallerists). Again, you can see some of my work on this website.

And, finally, in just the last year, I’ve discovered audio. I am told that I have two voices in particular -- soothing and sinister.

So, feel free to have a look around, and if you want to get in touch, just drop me a line at contact@MichaelJayTucker.com

Until next time...

Onward and upward.
