Still Thinking It Through

ree

I'm not nearly this cute, but it is sort of the way I feel at the moment.

Hi, All,

Sorry I haven’t been posting here as promptly as I had before. I was a whole day late last week, and I’m several hours late today.

That’s partly because I am still not quite sure what I want to do here in Xcargo. I was doing political stuff, but then decided that maybe it should focus on my actual life. Then I decided to go back to politics, but politics of late has been so crazy that I can’t get a handle on it. Then I thought about posting “The Martha Chronicles” here (that is, the story of Martha’s recovery from her fall last January), but decided instead to go straight to making those a book. (And, btw, I’m making progress on that. I’ll shortly have it available …for free…as a downloadable PDF. After that, I’ll try to turn it into a hardcopy book that you’ll be able to buy online, assuming you want one, that is.)

So now, I’m thinking of either focusing (again) on politics here…that was one of the purposes of the original explosive-cargo ezine, after all…or, instead, making it a “real” blog, that is, a diary-like exploration of my life, and my life with my family—sort of an enhanced version of the Martha Chronicles.

What do you think? Got any preferences? Any suggestions?

I’m always open to input.

Until next time…

Onward and upward.

Walking To Wimberley

Welcome to Wimberley, Texas—where the cypress trees lean over lazy rivers, the cowboy boots are ten feet tall (and painted like rainbows), and the coffee shops echo with guitars and gossip.

In Walking to Wimberley, Michael Jay Tucker invites you to join him on a meandering, thoughtful, and often hilarious journey through one of Texas’s most charming Hill Country towns. Based on his popular blog entries, this collection of travel essays explores Wimberley’s art, history, music, and mystery—with the dry wit of a seasoned traveler and the wide-eyed wonder of a first-time visitor.

Whether he’s hunting for the perfect taco, pondering the existential meaning of oversized footwear, or just trying to find parking on market day, Tucker brings Wimberley to life with style, warmth, and just a hint of mischief.

Come for the scenery. Stay for the stories. Bring your boots.
