So long, 2025!

Well, folks, it is the last Sunday of 2025. So this will be my last posting for this year (whoa).
Just wanted to say that I hope you have enjoyed my postings for the last 52 weeks. And I very much hope that you will enjoy my postings for the next 52 weeks. ‘Cause, you know, you won’t be so lucky as to get rid of me that easy. I mean, Ha! And double Ha. With a side order of chuckling. And maybe even a chortle or two.
So there.
Anyway, I thought I’d do something a little different today. As you know, I just ended one series--the story of our disastrous trip to Winfield, KS. (Moral: don’t take the bus. At least not for a few more decades). So, rather than start a new series today, in the final hours of the year, I’d thought I’d instead share a few of the photos and other materials which I’ve produced over the last 12 months.
Ergo, here you have some images. Let’s all say goodbye to this year, and hope the next one is a significant improvement.
I’ll be back on Thursday to wish you all a Happy New Year and then, after all, I’ll be starting yet another new series, this one on...get ready...
The Rise Of The Great Little Blue Casita.
Stay tuned.

About the photos: Here are some odds and ends from 2025.

First, from January 1, a photo of a stream near Llano Texas. We were there with our kids and grandkids. I never post pictures of my grandchildren to protect their privacy, but outside the frame of this photo envision a girl of 6 and a boy of three having the time of their lives.

Second, Martha at a Chinese New Year’s celebration in February. Yes, we had a dragon appear.

Third, I think this is a lily. Anyway, I took the photo in March.

Fourth, here’s Martha and me at a concert in April. Shortly after this photo was taken, we had to leave when the band in question turned up the amps to not just 11, but 110!

Fifth, here’s Martha and a friend in May. Yes, that was one of her mother’s day presents.

Sixth, here’s Martha and Judy at the Twisted Root Burgers restaurant in Waco in June.

Seventh, not my photo, but I love it. This is from the fourth of July.

Eight, a sunset on Corpus Christie in August (more about this to come).

Ninth, Martha and David at a park in Georgetown in September.

Tenth, Taos Pueblo in October (much more about this to come).

Eleventh, the Super-moon of September.

And, finally, Christmas morning here in Georgetown.

Care to help out?
I provide these blog postings for free. That’s fine and I’m happy to do so. But, long ago and far away, I was told that if you give away your material, that means you don’t really think it has any value.
So, to get beyond that, I’ve decided to make it possible for you to leave me a “tip” for my posts.
If you like what I write or the videos I produce, and feel you could make a small contribution to support my efforts, please go here:
That will take you to a Gumroad page where you’ll have the option of leaving me a few pence by way of encouragement.
Again, I don’t mind if you don’t. I just want to provide you with the option so that I won’t feel quite so much like I’m just tossing my works into the wind.
Either way, thanks hugely for dropping by the blog :-)
