Hello, Everyone,
As you know, I usually post one of my travel blog entries on Sundays. But, as you also know, the area in which I live – Central Texas – has been devastated by floods. As of this afternoon, 70 people had been confirmed dead, and many more remain missing. Tragically, the dead include scores of children.
In addition, hundreds of people (at least!) have been displaced and are in desperate need of help.
Therefore, instead of my blog, I will post today a link to a place where you can help if you should choose to do so. It is the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund which as been established by the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. It is here:
A small aside, this Fund has been endorsed by one of my favorite musicians, Robert Earl Keen: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/16DRkjLMSr/)
For other places and other ways to help, here’s an article from the Texas Tribune on how to give aid: https://www.texastribune.org/2025/07/05/texas-hill-country-flooding-how-to-help/
A thousand thanks to all of you for your support over these last few days.
Cheers
~mjt
