And on more thing...

Hey, Everyone,

Just a quick bit of news. I’m trying to get back to putting at least some of my works up on Amazon, first as e-books and then as paperbacks.

And I’ve got a new book up and running. It is *More Endurance Than Intensity*. It’s a short read, just three essays, and right now it is just an e-book. But, I’m hoping to do it as a print version in the near future. In any case, you can see it here: https://www.amazon.com/More-Endurance-Intensity-Michael-Tucker-ebook/dp/B0H34YT2ZJ

What’s it about? Well, here’s what it says on Amazon: “More Endurance Than Intensity is a collection of personal essays from the darker side of Michael Jay Tucker’s life and imagination. While best known for humorous travel writing and lighthearted reflections, Tucker turns here to experiences that did not easily lend themselves to comedy: grief, fear, aging, loss, memory, anxiety, family struggles, and the strange emotional terrain of ordinary life. Some essays are serious, some unsettling, and a few retain flashes of the wit for which he is known, but all are deeply personal.

“Written in a warm, candid, and conversational style, these essays explore what it means to keep moving forward even when certainty, confidence, or happiness are in short supply. The title itself reflects the spirit of the collection: survival not through heroics or grand triumphs, but through persistence, stubbornness, humor, and the simple determination to continue.”

Well, that’s what it says, anyway. And, I guess, I believe it.

Give it a glance when you have a moment.

cheers

Walking To Wimberley

Welcome to Wimberley, Texas—where the cypress trees lean over lazy rivers, the cowboy boots are ten feet tall (and painted like rainbows), and the coffee shops echo with guitars and gossip.

In Walking to Wimberley, Michael Jay Tucker invites you to join him on a meandering, thoughtful, and often hilarious journey through one of Texas’s most charming Hill Country towns. Based on his popular blog entries, this collection of travel essays explores Wimberley’s art, history, music, and mystery—with the dry wit of a seasoned traveler and the wide-eyed wonder of a first-time visitor.

Whether he’s hunting for the perfect taco, pondering the existential meaning of oversized footwear, or just trying to find parking on market day, Tucker brings Wimberley to life with style, warmth, and just a hint of mischief.

Come for the scenery. Stay for the stories. Bring your boots.
