An Historic Day

Good morning, Everyone!

So normally I would be posting another of my entries on Michael The Archangel today, but I thought I’d take a break to acknowledge that Tuesday was kind of historic. We watched in stunned surprise while Texas, and much of the country, went blue.

Whoa.

So, to note that day, here we are with today’s paper. Quite a headline, don’t you think?

Back with more St. Mike next week.

cheers

To quote Heather

The historic nature of this election cannot be overstated. It is a rejection of Trump, who insisted voters should imagine he was on the ballot. But more than that, it is a rejection of the Republican ideology that has driven American politics since the 1980s: the idea that some people are better than others and have the right to rule.

Thanks for posting this and it was so nice to see the country come together. The last two years have been so bad and the results of the election have sent a clear signal to the world that we are not going to put up with him any longer.

Walking To Wimberley

Welcome to Wimberley, Texas—where the cypress trees lean over lazy rivers, the cowboy boots are ten feet tall (and painted like rainbows), and the coffee shops echo with guitars and gossip.

In Walking to Wimberley, Michael Jay Tucker invites you to join him on a meandering, thoughtful, and often hilarious journey through one of Texas’s most charming Hill Country towns. Based on his popular blog entries, this collection of travel essays explores Wimberley’s art, history, music, and mystery—with the dry wit of a seasoned traveler and the wide-eyed wonder of a first-time visitor.

Whether he’s hunting for the perfect taco, pondering the existential meaning of oversized footwear, or just trying to find parking on market day, Tucker brings Wimberley to life with style, warmth, and just a hint of mischief.

Come for the scenery. Stay for the stories. Bring your boots.
