We consider the doubtful joys of airport parking. And of the (shudder) TSA checkpoints.

And we’re off to Durham, N.C. to see our friend Vincent. He’s cool...and it is a happening place.

Our last day in Ft. Worth. We see the Great Cattle Plod and I meditate on Mono no aware.

We head for the Stock Yards of Fort Worth...complete with John Wayne.

We explore the wonders of the Japanese Garden...and get lost. Sigh. Dan’l Boone I’m not.

We visit the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens...and meet the marvelous Kokedama Forest.

We have a lovely lunch at the 203 (where I mystify a sane person again), and then head for the Botanicals.

We head to our AirBnB...and things get complicated. (But, then, don’t they always?)

We see "The Drowning Pool," and I am terrified.

We explore the “urban oasis” of the Water Gardens...and it is a concrete wasteland.

We head for the Water Gardens in Ft. Worth, and realize why no one should ever go there. EVER.

In Fort Worth we have a terrific lunch, and I tell terrible jokes. Which is, alas, all too typical.

And we're off to Ft. Worth...to see the (terrifying) Water Gardens

Some last thoughts about New Mexico...and life.

We have Contemporary Art and really great chicken.

We leave the Turquoise and head to High Noon for a terrific lunch...against all odds.
