Happy 4th of July, everyone. Have fun, but stay safe (avoid fireworks this year, particularly if you are in the West), and don’t do anything I wouldn’t. Or maybe would. You know.
Anyway, for the first time in a long while, I’m actually optimistic this year. We have an Administration that looks like an Administration, and, at least for a little while yet, the House and Senate belong to my team.

Though I shudder a little about what could happen during the mid-term elections in 2022. In fact, if you’re a Democrat, a progressive, a moderate Republican, a Never Trump conservative, or just a plain ole sane individual…please vote, and vote Blue next year. Right now, we need to stick together, no matter what.
That said, do enjoy the day! Remember, there is a lot of good in America…
Even if, sometimes, the greatness gets a little overshadowed by madness.
